Charitable Trust
Provide for Yourself, Your Family, and IBS
A Charitable Trust is a great way to support the ministry of International Bible Society. A Charitable Trust can be set up using your current assets. You can then receive income earned from the trust or designate another beneficiary. Often a person will decide to receive the income from a Charitable Trust until their death, at which point IBS becomes the new beneficiary of the Charitable Trust income.
Charitable Trusts are among the most flexible assets in charitable giving. They accommodate a number of different situations and desires a donor may have.

Gift Planning Tip
Avoid Capital Gains Tax through a Charitable Trust
A Charitable Trust can be funded with property. When appreciated property is put into a Charitable Trust, no capital gains must be recognized. Another plus to this trust is that the tax deduction for the contribution of the property into the Charitable Trust is based on the current market value, not your original basis in the property.
